 We at LionHill Kennels (foundation kennel for the breed in Canada) have been involved with Leonbergers for over 20 years. Our first breeding pair was imported from Germany in 1988. We have been breeding quality Leonbergers since then, emphasizing temperament and breed type.
 Several of our Leonbergers have CD & CDX titles. The first CD & CDX titles in North America were achieved by Alicia of Sherwood CDX. In 1994, Alana of Sherwood CDX, not only received the Obedience Pedigree Award for the working group but she also was the highest scoring Leo in the history of the breed with a score of 1995 out of 200.
All our Leos undergo a thorough health check and are x-rayed for hip dysplasia.
